Next week we head to Orlando for the USBA/ISKA World Breaking Championships. Jackie Ehlers will attempt to set the junior competition record for hand breaking. Like us on Facebook for live updates from the tournament!
Sloane Cameron sets female power breaking world record with 11 boards at the US Hanmadang.
In two weeks Sloane and Jackie will travel to Colorado Springs for the US Open Taekwondo Hanmadang to compete in their Power Breaking divisions. Unlike the World Hanmadang, the US games allow women to compete (Thank you USTC Womens Committee!). Two weeks after that- they will travel to Orlando, FL for the USBA/ISKA World Breaking Championships. Big things on the horizon for these two. Stay tuned!
Last week Kukkiwon (the World Taekwondo Headquarters) denied my application to the 2015 World Games in South Korea. They will not allow me to compete because I am... get ready for it… a woman. Yes, you read that right... it is 2015 and I am being denied the right to compete based solely on my gender. While this is a huge let down as I have been training and saving for this trip for well over a year- it is also a huge opportunity. An opportunity to change the way people see female martial artists, to truly impact the Taekwondo community. The goal of this page is to promote the art of power breaking and specifically its female practitioners. Our goal is to post weekly videos and pictures of female power breakers from all over the world. It will also serve as a place to post our progress towards Kukkiwon adopting women’s power breaking divisions. So friends: please like and share this page and stay tuned for more updates. Thank you!
Thank you to Paula Moran for this entry! Paula is a 3rd Dan from Pacific Coast Taekwondo. Reminder: this site is for all female power breakers! Submit your photos and videos to email@example.com
Our goal is to post new pics and videos every week from all over the world. Submit your power breaking pics or videos to firstname.lastname@example.org or through our facebook page.
